That was my experience with Divine Love (Divino Amor) , the 2019 Brazilian dystopian drama from director Gabriel Mascaro.

Divine Love is not an easy watch. It’s slow, meditative, and deeply strange. There is a scene involving a fertility ritual and a latex glove that will stay with you longer than you want.
