Min-seok intercepts Jin-ho outside. Min-seok: “You’re going to push everyone away until you’re alone. Is that the plan?” Jin-ho: “I am alone.” Min-seok: “Then why did you eat Ha-eun’s fried rice this morning?” Jin-ho stops walking. No answer. She decides to make gyeran-bokkeumbap (egg fried rice)

She looks toward Jin-ho’s room. The door is slightly open. He’s pretending to sleep, but his ears are red. Jin-ho takes one bite, stands up, and leaves

“For new shoes. And better groceries. Don’t tell anyone. – J”

Ha-eun is buying cheap ramyeon and tofu. Her card is declined. She counts coins. Not enough. She starts putting items back, embarrassed.

Jin-ho: “My mom didn’t leave because of anger issues. She left because she said I looked too much like my father. He hit her. She couldn’t look at me without seeing him.” Ha-eun: “That’s not your fault.” Jin-ho: “I know. But knowing doesn’t fix anything.”
