Why do I miss it? Because Flash Player 12 fixed the "Pepper API" split. It unified Chrome’s PPAPI and Firefox’s NPAPI. It made copy-paste work consistently. It even had a garbage collector that didn't stutter your game every 30 seconds. The only surviving leak of FP12 is a tech demo called "Minecrift" —a voxel world where you could punch trees and look around via the mouse without the cursor escaping the window. Boring now.
