The most common among used guitars. Eight or nine digits. For eight-digit numbers: the first and fifth digits together represent the year (e.g., 9xxx2xxx = 1992). For nine-digit numbers: the first two digits are the year (e.g., 00xxxxxx = 2000). The second, third, and fourth digits indicate the day of the year (Julian calendar).
