It happens to the best of us. In a fit of frustration with a spammy newsletter or an ex-coworker’s “reply all” storm, we hit the button. The problem is, Gmail doesn’t yell at you when you do this. It simply makes the sender disappear.

Your blocked list is like the junk drawer of your email account. You forget what is in there until something breaks. Set a calendar reminder to check your Filters and Blocked Addresses once a quarter. gmail unblock email
This is the part that surprises most people. Unblocking does not retroactively bring back the lost emails. Those messages sent while the address was blocked are gone forever (unless the sender resends them).

Before you unblock every address on your list, remember why you blocked them in the first place. If you see noreply@weirdlottery.com or dailydeals@sketchystore.net , leave them blocked. You don't need that chaos back in your life. Only unblock legitimate human contacts.
