GroupMe on computer is excellent for text-heavy group chats , file sharing , and managing large groups – all for free. The lack of voice messages, GIF search, and rich reactions is frustrating, but if your group primarily uses text and images, it’s a solid choice. Use the web version for best compatibility; the desktop app adds little value. Pro Tip If you miss GIFs on desktop, just open GIPHY in another tab, copy a GIF link, and paste it into GroupMe – it will embed automatically.
