grow mustard seeds

What's happening?

Loosen the soil about 6 inches deep. Mustard isn't picky, but it prefers well-drained, fertile soil (mix in compost).

There is something magical about mustard. One minute, you are holding a seed the size of a pinhead; a few weeks later, you are harvesting spicy, peppery leaves for a salad. A few months after that, you are grinding your own homegrown seeds to slather on a hot dog.

Whether you want , spicy salad leaves , or seed pods for pickling , growing mustard is arguably the easiest gardening win you can score.

Happy gardening! 🌱
