Press Alt + PrtScn (or Alt + Fn + PrtScn on some laptops).
Click on the window you want to capture to make it active.
When you copy a screenshot instead of saving it, the image is stored temporarily in your computer’s clipboard. You can then paste it directly into an email, chat, document, or image editor. This method is faster and avoids cluttering your hard drive with unnecessary image files. Method 1: Copy the Entire Screen (Print Screen) This captures everything visible on your monitor.
Go to any app that accepts images and press Ctrl + V to paste. ✅ Result: Only the selected window appears, cropped automatically. Method 3: Copy a Selected Area (Snipping Tool / Snip & Sketch) This is the most precise method. You select exactly the part of the screen you want to copy.
The active window is now copied to the clipboard.
