Jax stood at the main gate, surrounded by dozens of other prisoners. The gate creaked open. They walked out together into a sunrise made of orange and gold pixels.
He clicked Return to cell.
“There’s more than one?”
Leo’s fingers hovered over the mouse. He thought about all the times he’d played this game, all the corners he’d cut, all the pixelated guards he’d tricked. He’d never once considered going back.
ENDING: REDEMPTION. You didn’t just escape. You set them all free.
The hallway stretched before him, gray and gridded. A guard icon walked left, then right, then paused to check a nonexistent watch. Leo waited. Now. He clicked. Jax darted across the corridor and into the supply closet. The guard passed by, oblivious.
“Return to cell?” Leo said. “Why would I do that?”
