Leela Tamil Movie: Ram

Ram, dying, sees Leela arrive. He smiles. Leela, in utter despair, kneels beside him. Instead of crying, she picks up his gun. She tells him, “In this birth, I couldn’t be your bride. But in death, no one can separate us.”

A massive gunfight erupts. Ram and Leela escape temporarily, but Leela is shot in the arm. Realizing that their love will only cause more deaths, Leela makes a painful decision. She sends Ram away and returns home, claiming she hates him.

Determined to unite, Ram decides to approach the Sanyals for a formal marriage proposal. Against all advice, he walks into the Sanyal house with his family. This is not an original Tamil film. It is the Tamil-dubbed version of the 2013 Hindi blockbuster Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela , starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. The Tamil dub features voiceovers by popular artists (often including Sai Abhyankkar and others) and retains the same plot, music (by Sanjay Leela Bhansali), and visual grandeur. Broken-hearted, Ram becomes a reckless drunk. The Sarpanch decides to marry Leela off to a wealthy suitor from another town. The engagement is announced. On the day of Leela’s engagement, Ram crashes the ceremony. He is not there to fight – he is there to surrender. He falls at the Sarpanch’s feet and begs for a single chance to take Leela away. Leela learns of this plot. In a desperate act, she steals a pistol and rushes to the warehouse where Ram is waiting. But she is too late. Bhavani and his men have already shot Ram multiple times.

The film ends with the two warring clans, for the first time in 500 years, coming together to perform the of Ram and Leela. Their love, though destroyed by hatred, becomes the sacrifice that ends the feud. A single line appears on screen: Instead of crying, she picks up his gun

She turns the gun on herself. Act 5: The Final Message When the two clans discover the bodies, the Sarpanch breaks down. For the first time, she weeps. She looks at the dead lovers and says, “They were the real Ram and Leela. We are the demons.”
