Reading Comprehension Test For Intermediate Students May 2026

In a small town in Denmark, there is a school with no classrooms, no bells, and no traditional lessons. Students at the Østerskov School learn history by role-playing as Vikings or World War II spies. They learn biology by solving a fictional outbreak of a disease. This approach is called “holistic learning” or “scenario-based education.”

The school was founded in 2015 by a group of teachers who believed that memorizing facts for exams does not prepare students for real life. Here, students work on projects that last two to four weeks. They research, write reports, give presentations, and work in teams. The teachers act as guides, not lecturers.

(answer in 1–5 words) 6. What percentage of students from this school go to higher education? Answer: 92%

Some parents worry that without tests and grades, students will not be motivated. However, the school reports that 92% of its graduates go on to higher education – a rate higher than the national average. Students say they feel less stressed and more curious.
