Summer Time — Saga Type Games
Often mentioned alongside STS, What a Legend! trades the modern suburban setting for a medieval fantasy village. The art style is charmingly illustrated (not 3D renders), and the humor lands well. Like STS, you explore a map, trigger time-sensitive events, and build relationships with a colorful cast (a blacksmith’s wife, a shy herbalist, a tavern owner, etc.).
Taffy Tales is darker and edgier than STS, set in a corrupt, sexually charged small town. The protagonist is more assertive, and the game includes themes of bullying, crime, and taboo relationships. Mechanically, it’s very similar to STS: move around a map, work jobs (burger joint, gym), increase stats, and unlock scenes. summer time saga type games
This one focuses on management + dating sim. You inherit a hotel and gradually fill it with guests (elves, androids, etc.) who have their own storylines. The sandbox is more contained than STS (mostly the hotel interior), but the character depth is surprising, and there’s a ton of repeatable content. Often mentioned alongside STS, What a Legend
