“That’s the one. Jax says it’s ‘too poetry.’ He wants you to say ‘That’s what she said’ instead.”

The old actor stares into the middle distance. The HD close-up captures the exact moment his soul leaves his body. He stands up, drops the bathrobe to reveal a full tuxedo underneath.

His assistant, CHLOE (22, Yale, terrified), nods. “That’s what we wanted. A sad chimp.”

“Get the car. We’re going to his house.”

Jax leans over, chipper. “Disaster metrics are up 400% on social. People hate-watching in HD. That’s engagement, baby. Greenlit Season 2.”

“Exactly. The unicorn represents grief’s absurdity.” Jax smiles. “Fix it. Or you’re producing Sludge , the AI-generated musical about the sewer system.”

The HDRip of Episode 2 opens on a disorienting, shaky-cam shot. Marcus is running down a hallway, clutching a red envelope. He bursts into a screening room where SIR LAURENCE (80s, regal, wearing a bathrobe) is eating popcorn.

Marcus slams a coffee mug. “No. It’s sad . We need Sad . Capital S. We need him to cry. Real tears. Not CGI. Get me an onion.”
