Thoracic — Nerves Innervation

The thoracic nerves are the twelve pairs of spinal nerves emerging from the thoracic segment of the spinal cord (T1 to T12). They are unique among spinal nerves because they follow a relatively segmented, or metameric, distribution pattern without forming complex plexuses (with the exception of T1 and T2). Each thoracic nerve divides into a dorsal (posterior) ramus and a ventral (anterior) ramus, each supplying distinct territories.

In summary, thoracic nerves provide of the trunk wall and dermatomal sensation from the chest and abdomen, while also carrying essential autonomic fibers. Their patterned distribution makes them clinically valuable for diagnosing neurological lesions. thoracic nerves innervation
