After finding an ad for a "genuine wax cylinder phonograph" (the kind Edison invented), Sheldon becomes obsessed with owning a piece of audio history. The problem? It costs $1,200. The solution? Sheldon decides to sue a local department store for false advertising regarding a stereo system, believing he can use the settlement money to buy his antique.

While Sheldon is drafting legal documents, Missy is dealing with the very real social trauma of being a twin to a genius. The episode gives Missy one of her best B-plots: trying to be "average" to fit in, only to realize that being a Cooper means you are never truly average. While Mary tries to teach him about the sin of greed, George Sr. is hilariously caught in the middle, realizing his ten-year-old son is technically smart enough to file a small-claims lawsuit.
