Malaysia is a tropical country governed by two distinct monsoon systems, not the traditional four seasons. The weather is characterized by high humidity (around 80%), warm temperatures (75°F–95°F / 24°C–35°C), and abundant sunshine, punctuated by short, heavy rain showers. Because the country is split between Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia (Borneo), the weather varies significantly by region and month.

When it’s raining on the west coast, the east coast is usually sunny, and vice versa.
